meet the queen

my doll lizzie done up like the queen i hoped she would be
i made her and everything she is wearing there! man it took what felt like forever.... i had fun making her those clothes, a lot of work and tarring of my patience at times though....especally when putting on all the sequins and jewels on just her bodice! she's not entirely done here, she could use a necklace maybe and a crown.... oi the queen needs a crown sure!

anyways there she is with the other two bjd i made, my girly boy narcissus and the little kitty named alby.

for those want a doll to be made for them I NOW charge $150 to $300 now for most dolls I make from this point on. don't whine to me if you think that's too much! i will not lower my prices here, this is how i make my living, the money i get from making dolls is what i have to get by, i have no other job or career other than that of an artist. there's no new jobs out there, so i earn my money by making stuff with my hands!
as artists yourselves you should know that your time, talent, and skill are worth something and that art supplies themselves are very expensive! at the amount of money i getting for my work i'm gaining not much in return, i'm lucky enough to break even!
we artists can't give our work out for cheap or for free, i give something out for free or cheap it is usually for someone i think very highly of  and those folks are very few!
i hate to do this price jack up though, i know that some folks can not afford such, but i only get paid when the commission is done and projects take awhile to get done and it's hard to get folks to buy your work.
prices will vary due to how much work and stuff that will be going into making the doll.
if you don't like my price go see what other doll makers are charging for their OAK dolls online!..their really expensive, but for good reason since there is a lot that goes into making them and they are worth what the artist charges for them most of the time. hey you can try making one making one here's a link to give you a good idea of just some of the work that goes into making  a doll > [link]
